There will be an occultation of the Crab Nebula (M1) by Saturn on 4th
January 2003. This will be visible from India. I have not tried to find
occurrances for other nations or locations.
From my place - Pune- INDIA- Saturn will "Enter" the Crab Nebula around
19:45 p.m. and slowly move over it till the next morning. Titan will
follow Saturn and will enter the Crab by early morning.
The occultation will continue until the next evening and Saturn will leave
this area by 20:00 hrs of 5th January. Titan will be still in the region and
will at the center at about 23:00 Hrs. Titan will leave the area by early
morning.
